Spaces For Hire
The Village Hall consists of several rooms that can be hired separately or all together. There are gents, ladies and disabled toilets available for use by hirers.
Heligan Room (Hall)
This room is 17.8m x 5.3m providing a large space to accommodate numerous activities and events. Examples include: Yoga Classes, Quiz nights, Line dancing Classes, Karate Classes, Private Parties,
Wedding Receptions etc
It is able to hold 70 people seated or 100 people standing/mixed seating.
Committee Room
This room can hold 12-15 people seated. Typically hired for meetings of 5 or more people. Good for committee meetings, small gatherings, private lunches etc
Sports Field
The sports field is approximately a 2 acres (the size of a small football pitch). It has successfully hosted previous Country Fair’s and the Fireworks evening. A perfect venue to hold outdoor events and can be hired together or separately from the Village Hall.
Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen to be hired together with the Heligan,
Committee room or the Sports Field. The kitchen has full extraction, a 4-ring hob, convection oven, separate Combi Oven, commercial dish washer and food preparation areas.
Licensable Activities
As the Village Hall is an unlicensed premises, events that include licensable activities need to have a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) applied for with Cornwall Council. It is the responsibility if the hirer to obtain the necessary TEN for their event if it is required.
Licensable activity includes:
- selling alcohol
- serving alcohol to members of a private club
- providing entertainment, such as music, dancing or indoor sporting events
- serving hot food or drink between 11pm and 5am
